Change Password1. We can type in or paste our password in the Password field and type in our new password in the two other fields (New and Confirm). Now we can click the Change your Password button and the new password will be in effect immediately. It is recommended to change your password as soon as you first log in. This way, no one can impersonate you and look at confidential information or create false information under your name. 2. Let's have a look at a Promotions Grid by clicking the Promotions menu. |
Promotions GridBy default, we see the promotions where the beginning dates of the promotion is the current month of the current year.1. We can select the month and the year or select the entire year with the "date bars" located just under the title Promotions Grid. 2. Below the date we can find a short report displaying a few totals and averages regrouped by region. 3. Below the report are the Product, Distributor and Region filters. We can filter our result by selecting one or more of these values. Below the filters is the Result Gridview. One promotion per line is displayed in the gridview. 4. The gridview can be sorted by ascending or descending order by clicking its column name in the gridview itself. 5. To view a promotion's details, we now click on the Details link of it's leftmost column's cell. |
Promotion Details1. From here, we can print the Promotion Form to fax it, archive it or save as a PDF file by clicking the Imprimer - Print button. To save as a PDF file, you might have to install a third party software such as CutePDF or PrimoPDF.It os recommended to send PDF files to the clients and distributors instead of Excel files. 2. This promotion can also be saved as an Excel file by clicking the Export to Excel... button. 3. This text let us know that this promotion has been approved already. 4. Below the comment section is the list of all concerned products, their suggested retail prices (5.) and Order (6. if any, in the rightmost column). |

Add Store/Contact1. Before we create a promotion, let's look at the Contact and Store page. Click on the Add/Store Contact menu. The gridview at the top shows the Stores and Stores HQ. This gridview is paged (like the Prices one) and the page links are located at the bottom. 2. At the top of the page, we have a Search box and button to quickly find a store. Let's say we want to look at the Sugar and Spice store in Toronto, type in "spi" in the search box and click the Search button. Three stores will be displayed: two "Herb & Spice" in Ottawa and the one we are looking for in Toronto. 3. If the Sugar and Spice store's address (or other field) needs to be updated, we can click on the Edit link in the leftmost column and change the phone number, address and so on. We need to click the Update link to complete our changes (or the Cancel link if we changed our mind). 4. If we need to remove the store from the list, we have to uncheck the Active checkbox. A store that is not active will not show up when creating a promotion. A store cannot be completely removed from the database since some (older) promotions might still have a link to that store. To enter a new store, first, make sure it is not already there by using the Search box! 5. Then we can click the New button in the leftmost Store box. The six fields will be emptied. Please fill them all up and click the Insert button to proceed (or the Cancel button if you changed your mind). Important: If you'd like to add an affiliated store instead of an independant one, please use the box (and grid) located under the Store and marked: Succursales - Affiliated stores. The operations and functioning are similar to the Store ones except for the HeadQuarter field. The search box also affect the grid of the Affiliated stores. Type in "IGA" for example and 4 IGA stores will be displayed in the store's grid but 7 pages will be shown in the Affiliated store's grid. |

Store's ContactsBelow the distributor's contact list is the Store's Contact list.1. This list is also paged and the page links can be found at the bottom of the gridview. Just like the Store's gridview, We can add (2.) and edit (3.) the Store's contacts details. |
Create a Promotion - I1. Now please click on the Create a Promotion menu.2. By clicking in the Client's field, the list of all active stores will be displayed. HINT: When the stores are displayed, type on the keyboard the first letter of the store's name to select the store more quickly. 3. Select a Product Line from the product's field. 4. Select a Distributor from the distributor's field. Now that these last three fields are set (client, product and distributor), the proper products and their proper prices will be displayed in the gridview at the bottom of the page. 5. Let's not forget to put in the representative (that's you) in the right field! 6. We can click in the green date fields and a calendar will pop up to help us select a date. 7. Next steps are the Store and Distributor's Contacts (if any). If the Store or Distributor's contact do not appear in their respective fields, go back to the Add Store/Contact page and add them. Then, come back to this page and reselect the store and/or the distributor if necessary so the contacts are now available. 8. Now we can put in the costs and numbers of demos, hours and minimum purchase of case or unit. IMPORTANT: Type in only numbers in these fields (commas are OK for fractions). The online PPR needs to calculates values with these numbers so if you type in "2 units" in the minimum purchase field for example, the number 2 will be replace by a 0. |
Create a Promotion - II1. Let's go down a bit and select our discount percentages. In the Discount box, check the Percent radio button and select the appropriate discounts from the MCB and Distributor fields. After doing so, the prices with their proper discounts will be displayed in the product/price gridview at the bottom of the page.2. Let's select our Promotion Type from the box below. 3. On the left hand side, there is a blue box that says "Click here to select the affiliated stores". Click it to see a list of all affiliated stores. 4. Now select the particular store(s) for whom the promotion applies to by clicking their corresponding checkbox(es) on the left. HINT: When there is only one affiliated store listed (when the client is an independent store), it is already selected so they're is no need to select the affiliated store. We can click the blue box (3.) again to hide the affiliated stores. |
Create a Promotion - III1. When the discount is not based on a percentage but on a quantity (i.e. BOGO discount) or we need to give some additional information about the promotion, we can leave these as Comments in this box.2. Below the comments is the product/price gridview. 3. We select a product with the checkbox on the left. 4. We can type in an Order (if any) in the right-most column. IMPORTANT: Again, just like with the minimum purchase field, we must type in numbers only in the Order column. 5. The percent discount, total discount in dollars(CAN$) and the suggested price are all calculated on the fly and are shown in these columns. 6. The gridview can be sorted (just like the Promotions Grid) by ascending or descending order when we click on its corresponding column name in the gridview itself. 7. To finish, review your entries and go back up to click on the Create the Promotion... button. A message will be displayed to ask a confirmation to create and send the promotion by email. Click the Ok button and the promotion will be created and an email with the promotion's link will be automatically send to the approvers and a carbon copy(CC) of the email will also be send to you. |
